Denomination Buttons

Definition : These days, most people pay by card.  However, some people still like to pay cash.  Because employees are not used to do maths, adding the denomination buttons to the payment window can be a great tool to minimize the errors by giving less or more change to the customer.  These denomination buttons also help in calculating the monies of the cash drawer at the end of the day.  Special Payment buttons may be added too, such as Cheque.

How to add the denomination buttons :

1) Go to Setup > POS Setp > Denominations.

2) The window shows three sections: Notes - Coins - Special Payments.

3) Notes: In the payment window, these buttons are green.

• Click New at the bottom.
• Description: Type in the name of the bill (Hundred).
• Value: Enter 100.
• Click OK.
• Repeat for the other bill.

4) Coins: In the payment window, these buttons are orange.

• Click New at the bottom.
• Description: Type in the name of the coin (Toonie).
• Value: Enter 2
• Click OK.
• Repeat for the other coin.

5) Special Payments: In the payment window, these buttons are white.  At some point in time, the card machine will be integrated to Conqueror.  Instructions will be given on how to set the card machine up in Conqueror.

• Click New at the bottom.
• Description: Type in the name special payment (Cheque).
• Click OK.
• Repeat for the other special payments.

6) Click the X at the top right to exit out from the Denominations window.
