Pacer Bowler (does not count towards team totals)

In certain leagues, a pacer bowler replaces a blind bowler. A pacer is an individual who bowls to maintain the pace, which indicates having the same number of bowlers on each lane of a pair. The scores of the pacer do not contribute to the team totals for which he bowls. Instead, the pacer's scores are utilized to calculate an average for the bowler.

STEPS IN CONQUEROR

1) Sending the rosters to the lanes.

Go to Home > Quick Access > League Control or League Management.
Select the league from the list and click OK.
Go to Lanes > Send Roster > OK.

2) Setting a bowler from team as blind.

Go to Home > Quick Access > All Lanes.
Select the lane on which a bowler needs to be changed as a blind.
Click Score at the bottom.
You see the bowlers on the team on the left lane at the top and the bowlers on the team on the right lane below.
Click the bowler who needs to be set as a blind.
Select Blind from the Type box.
Add the blind score on the right. You can see the bowler's average next to his name at the top. Make sure to add the proper average in blind score. If there is a penalty of -10 points or -10%, you need to make the calculation manually and enter the proper average then.
Click OK to confirm.
Exit out from the Score screen.

3) Adding a pacer bowler to a team.

Go to Home > Quick Access > All Lanes.
Select the lane on which a pacer bowler needs to be added on a team.
Click Score at the bottom.
You see the bowlers on the team on the left lane at the top and the bowlers on the team on the right lane below.
Click the team name (yellow bar).
Click the Search button at the bottom right to see if the pacer bowler is on the list or not. If he is on the list, select the name and click OK. If he is not on the list, click Cancel and enter the name manually at the top left.
Select Pacer from the Type box below.
Click OK.
Exit out from the Score screen.

4) Changing the lineup.

Go to Home > Quick Access > All Lanes.
Select the lane on which a pacer bowler needs to be added on a team.
Click Score at the bottom.
Click the pacer's name.
Use the two arrows to move the pacer up or down.
Click OK.
Exit out from the Score screen.

5) Verifying the bowlers at the lane.

Go to Home > Quick Access > All Lanes.
Select the lane on which there is a blind bowler and a pacer bowler.
Go to Special Functions (bottom left) >Monitor image.
The blind bowler has "Blind" next to his name. The pacer bowler has "Pacer" next to his name.

STEPS IN LEXER

1) Go to Scores Management.

2) Select the right week on the left.

3) Select the right lane in green under the Games tab.

4) Click the orange + sign at the bottom.

5) Select the pacer bowler from left, send it over to right and click OK. Make sure that the pacer has a question mark (?) left of his name.

6) Enter the pacer's games manually. The green dot in each box indicates that the score was entered manually.

7) Select the pacer's first game and click the red S at the bottom to change the bowler's type to a Substitute Pacer.

8) Refresh the team totals by clicking the refresh button that is left of the two greens arrows at the bottom. The pacer's games will be subtracted from the team totals.

9) Click the little brown diskette at the top right to save the modifications.
