Low Game: The goal is to bowl the lowest game possible which is 20. You want to hit the 7-pin (corner pin on the left) on your first throw and the 10-pin (corner pin on the right) on your second throw. If you throw a gutter on your first throw, you get a strike. If you get zero on your second throw, you get a spare.
Head Hunter: The goal is to always hit the 1-pin (headpin) and avoid the strike. If you knock down four, five, six or seven pins on your first throw, you get ten points on your frame. If you miss the headpin, strike or go in the gutter on your first throw, you get zero on your frame. The maximum score is 100.
Last Pin Standing: The goal is to never hit the 1-pin (headpin) and avoid the strike. To get a strike on your frame, you need to knock down nine pins, excluding the headpin. To get a spare on your frame, you need to leave the headpin standing by itself after the second throw. Hitting the headpin on your first throw gives zero on your frame. Hitting the headpin on your second throw gives zero on that specific throw. The maximum score is 300.
Odd and Even: Knock down an even number of pins on your first throw (including a strike) and get a strike. Knock down an odd number of pins on your first throw and get a spare. A gutter gives zero at all times. The maximum score is 300. One ball per frame.
Odd Duck: The goal is to knock down an odd number of pins on your first throw to get points. Knocking down an even number of pins on your first throw gives zero. The maximum score is 90. One ball per frame.
Even Better: The goal is to knock down an even number of pins on your first throw to get points. Knocking down an odd number of pins on your first throw gives zero. The maximum score is 80. One ball per frame.
Note: These games can be exciting for team building activites or open play. We have never seen these games as tournaments. Though we would say that the two most common are (1) Low Game and (2) Odd and Even.
Here are the steps to enable the Skill Games:
1) After the lanes have been turned on, select all the lanes on which a skill game has to be turned on and click Options from the control panel at the bottom.
2) In the Basic tab (the default one), click the blue bar under Classic & Skill Games and select the skill game required.
3) Click OK to confirm.
4) Click Send to lane. Wait a couple of seconds for the game to be sent to all the lanes. The lane options window will close by itself.
