Definition: Posting live results, announcing a special, wishing a happy birthday to someone, showing the winning number of the 50/50 draw...  these are all good reasons to enable a scrolling message at the bottom of the upper monitors.

How to enable a scrolling message:

1) Go to Front Lanes > Lane Features > Messages.

2) On the left, there is a possibility to customise 12 different messages.  Each message can have its own name to facilitate the employee when requiring to enable a message.

3) Click the blue bar at the top and select the lanes on which the message has to be enabled.  This is not set in stone.  It can be changed.

4) Enter the text.  Try be to concise.

5) If required, modify the background colour and font colour.

6) Click the Font button to modify the font and size and bold, italic and underline can be added.

7) Click the Attach button to add an image to the message.  New images can be created in the logo file format, which should have the following settings: 16 colours, .bmp format and size 8 x 26 pixels.  After an image has been created, it should be saved in the server directory: C:\QDesk\Database\Messages so that it can be accessed here.

8) Click Enable to start displaying the message on the upper monitors of the selected lanes.
