Score Correction

Definition: Once in a while, a score correction has to be done to a bowler because of a late pin fall or misread of the camera.  Score corrections can be done at the bowler's console or at the front desk computer.  This article shows how it is done at the front desk by a staff member.

How to do a score correction:

1) Go to the All Lanes window and select the lane on which a score correction has to be made.

2) Click Score at the bottom.

3) Select the frame.

4) In tenpin and rubberband duckpin, frame 1 to frame 9 show two boxes, because the balls can be thrown.  The tenth frame shows three boxes, because three balls can be thrown.  In candlepin, duckpin and fivepin, every frame shows three boxes, because three balls can be thrown.

  • Select the box corresponding to the throw to be modified.  The selected box is highlighted in red.
  • C = Cancel the throw, as when someone bowled while it was not his turn yet.
  • F = Fall.  The bowler crossed the fall line and that counts for zero.
  • - = Miss.  The bowler did not hit a single pin and that counts for zero.
  • X = trike.
  • / = Spare.

5) You may add pins (click the black spots) or remove pins (clicking the pins) to each throw.

6) You may modify the numbers of pins knocked down by changing the number below the headpin.

7) Click Save to confirm and exit out from the player's window.

8) Click the X at the top right to exit out from the Score correction window.
